Akademik Motivasyon Ölçeği (AMS) consists of 28 items and has 7 subscales: İçsel Motivasyon - Bilmeye Yönelik (4 entries), İçsel Motivasyon - Başarmaya Yönelik (4 entries), İçsel Motivasyon - Uyarılım Yaşamaya Yönelik (4 entries), Dışsal Motivasyon - Dışsal Düzenleme (4 entries), Dışsal Motivasyon - İçe Yansıtılmış Düzenleme (4 entries), Dışsal Motivasyon - Belirlenmiş Düzenleme (4 entries), Motivasyonsuzluk (4 entries).
The scale is of the Likert (7 graded) type; responses are scored as 1 = Hiç uymuyor, 2 = Çok az uyuyor, 3 = Az uyuyor, 4 = Orta derecede uyuyor, 5 = Uyuyor, 6 = Çok uyuyor, 7 = Tamamen uyuyor. The mean score is used (1–7). Her alt boyut için ilgili maddeler ortalamasıyla değerlendirilir.
