Quantifiers YDS'de Nasıl Çıkar?

Quantifier (nicelik belirteçleri) YDS gramer sorularında 2-3 sınavda 1, cloze test'te 1-2 soru olarak karşınıza çıkar. Ana zorluk: hangi belirteç tekil, hangisi çoğul fiil alır? Bu kuralları bilen biri soruyu 10 saniyede çözer.

Tekil Fiil Alanlar

Each: "Each student has submitted the assignment." Her biri ayrı ayrı vurgulanır.

Every: "Every participant was informed about the study." Tüm bireyler bir bütün olarak.

Either: "Either option is acceptable." İkisinden biri.

Neither: "Neither study provides sufficient evidence." İkisi de değil.

No: "No significant difference was found." Hiçbir.

Çoğul Fiil Alanlar

Both: "Both studies suggest a positive effect." İkisi de.

Several/Few/Many: "Several researchers have examined this issue."

Hem Tekil Hem Çoğul Olabilenler

All: Sayılamayan isimle tekil: "All information is confidential." Sayılabilir çoğul isimle çoğul: "All participants were volunteers."

Some/Most/Any: Aynı kural ? ismin türüne göre tekil veya çoğul.

None: Geleneksel: tekil "None of the data is..." Modern: çoğul da kabul "None of the participants were..."

"Of" Yapısı

Each of / Every one of / Neither of / Either of + çoğul isim + TEKİL fiil: "Each of the participants was asked..." "Neither of the studies provides..."

Both of / Several of / Many of + çoğul isim + ÇOĞUL fiil: "Both of the groups showed improvement."

YDS Çözüm Stratejisi

1. Quantifier'ı belirleyin ? each/every/neither/either ? tekil fiil arayın.

2. "Of" yapısı varsa quantifier'a göre karar verin, "of" dan sonraki isme göre DEĞİL.

3. Both ? çoğul, neither ? tekil ? bu ikili sık karıştırılır.

4. All/some/most ? ismin türüne bakın: sayılamayan ? tekil, sayılabilir çoğul ? çoğul.
